Today, we were able to sleep in (thank goodness). Having had such a great experience yesterday with Synon, we hired him again to take us to Kulen Mountain. This time, however, our pick up time was at 9:30am, allowing ample time to enjoy breakfast at the hotel. The Phnom Kulen area is known for its river ruins and waterfalls.📷On the way to Phnom Kulen

Atop the mountain is a very large sleeping buddha, Preah Ang Thom. The statue is carved directly from the tall boulder it rests upon.📷Going up to Preah Ang Thom

📷After enjoying the waterfalls, we made our way back to the hotel where we partook in the most ridiculous high tea experience. Because our suite had a private pool, one of the options for food service was to have a floating high tea. The guys, never wanting to pass up novelty no matter how impractical, decided to take the plunge. The staff even took a picture of us with the floating trays because they had never seen anyone order so many.📷High tea
Following our absurd meal we made our way to Pub Street, the Cambodian equivalent of Bourbon St. Filled with bars, restaurants, and merchants, we chose to get a drink (a bucket, actually) at Angkor What?. From there, the boys, hungry despite our high tea, decided to take us to Jungle Burger, whose specialty is a huge burger called the Burg Khalifa. Satiated from our night out, we hit the hay early so we could be ready for tomorrow’s busy day.📷Pub Street
